Try to game at 1440 or 1080, and let us know what kind of results you're getting. You also didn't state what kind of monitor you have, if you're trying to game on a 4k Tv or monitor you're not going to get high FPS at ultra or high settings. My Lenovo had the same specs as yours, and I get 120+ FPS 1440. OEM copies of Windows usually suck, so a fresh clean install will allow you to start with a clean slate. Another thing you could do is install a fresh copy of Windows. A case with better airflow, and a bigger air cooler, or AIO Liquid cooler will help you. That case restricted airflow, and it used a standard blower fan. I ended up going with the Lenovo over the Asus due to cooling. I've ended up buying a pre-built, and that same Asus was one of my options.
